Solidus is searching for an Embedded Software Engineer.

Candidate will join a novel camera team and will work on next generation camera systems built around state-of-the-art focal plane arrays. A successful candidate will have experience with FPGAs and embedded processors. Candidates should also be comfortable in a lab and proficient with standard lab equipment like oscilloscopes, function generators, power supplies, and analyzers for debugging purposes. Engineer should possess the ability to work independently, determine root cause for common issues, and generate new embedded compute architectures and firmware code.

Requirements • ship and the ability to obtain DOD Secret Clearance; Active Secret preferred • Bachelor's Degree plus 5 years experience

Required Experience • FPGA • Xilinx Toolsets: Vivado, Vitis • ModelSim • Scientific analysis tools like Python or MATLAB • Hardware demonstration platforms like Xilinx MPSoC, SoM, or UltraScale platforms • C/C, Python, Verilog, HDL • Scripting Languages: Perl, Python, Shell Scripting, Powershell • Software Design/Development • Real-Time Embedded Systems (RTOS, VxWorks, Xenomai, Linux) • Firmware • Linux based development environment

Additionally Desired • Software Documentation • C11 or later, Stand Template Library, Boost library • Integration of Java/C/C/other in Matlab/Simulink • Mex Interface to C/C • Object Oriented Software Design and Development • Scientific Programming (Python/Julia) • Software Testing
