Solidus is looking for 2 talented engineers to contribute to research, prototyping, and verification efforts that integrate electrical systems, embedded systems, and software interfaces to meet challenging operational requirements. The team is focused on the synthesis of dynamic and complex control and autonomous systems, from concept to realization, for a wide variety of prototypes. Work with multi-disciplinary teams to envision and create complex demonstration prototypes (primarily unmanned) and innovative solutions to challenging national security problems.

Research and development topics include one or more of the following: autonomous systems, guidance, navigation, non-linear or under-actuated control systems, estimation and feedback control algorithms such as PID controllers, Extended Kalman Filters, and Unscented Kalman Filters for dynamic pointing and tracking, inertial stabilization, embedded servo control systems, custom electronics development for advanced sensors, and mechanism and actuator control, artificial intelligence, including machine learning, Bayesian probability, modern feedback control and state estimation, computer vision, image processing, machine learning, artificial intelligence, and Markov decision processes.

Work may involve using tools such as Matlab and Simulink for algorithm development and simulation, Mentor Graphics for electronics development, and software development targeting both general purpose and real-time operating systems such as VxWorks, Xenomai, and real-time Linux.

Required - ship and the ability to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - BS and 2+ years of experience

Required Experience - COSMOS - Real-Time Embedded Systems (RTOS, VxWorks, Xenomai, Linux) - Real-Time Software/Hardware - Software Documentation and Testing - C/C Programming - Embedded Software - Scientific Programming (Python, MATLAB, LabView, Mathematica, C) - Revision Control Software such as GIT, SVN, Maven or Gradle, GITlab, Make/Autotools - Agile Development methodologies

Additionally Desired - Master's Degree - Embedded communication protocols - Hardware-in-the-loop systems - Developing for MSP430's and/or ARM processors - Space systems would be a huge asset as well - Ruby
