Job Title:Enterprise Data Warehouse Solution Lead

Job Description:

The Enterprise Data Warehouse serves as the company-wide single source of truth for both reporting and analytics. It includes live integrations with all major transactional systems in the company and also retains key historical structured data. A multi-year transition is currently underway to replace all legacy data warehouses with this platform.

The Enterprise Data Warehouse Solution Lead will play a key role in the continued growth and maturation of this platform. The Lead will provide technical direction for the solution and will provide leadership in aligning the platform with a common data model and with standardized data marts to support business functions. Process standardization and compliance are key for the continued growth of the platform, and the Solution Lead will be a key champion in bringing this into being.

The Solution Lead will also be engaged in implementation projects as needed. The lead will perform analysis, design, implementation, and test oversight within the platform.

Responsibilities:
  • Provides technical leadership for the platform, including implementation of a common data model with standardized data marts.
  • Identifies the need for new CDO processes as well as significant improvements to major CDO processes and drives the development and implementation of those.
  • Maintains collaborative relationships with business partners and with other teams within the CDO.
  • Provides engagement with businesses, functions, and geographies for requests into the Chief Data Office (CDO).
  • Performs analysis, design, implementation, and testing within the Vertica Enterprise Data Warehouse.

Education and Experience Required:
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience and a minimum of 12 years of related experience or a Master's degree.

Knowledge and Skills:
  • Deep expertise in Vertica Design and Implementation.
  • Practical experience in technical leadership of an OLAP-based DWH team, including implementation of a common data model and standard data marts.
  • Strong experience in building solutions in Vertica, including very strong SQL skills.
  • Demonstrated subject matter experience with the Vertica Analytics platform. This includes a thorough understanding of the Vertica architecture, advantages, installation, configuration, troubleshooting, and operation. Direct development and support experience in a significant Vertica delivery project is strongly preferred. Experience with Vertica Accelerator is a plus.
  • Experience in data modeling, data migration, and ETL technologies. Experience with Informatica Power Center is preferred.
  • Established track record in customer engagement, analysis, estimation, and implementation.
  • Strong ability to work collaboratively within a geographically dispersed organization.
  • Exceptional written and verbal skills. Strong relationship management skills.
