High level responsibilities

  • Perform requirements gathering, technical design and solutioning for projects and initiatives
  • In partnership with other ETX teams, set up and guide business users on technical architecture (e.g. sizing of servers, creation of data repositories, appropriate use of reporting tools etc.) to support the needs of multiple ERM initiatives and fulfill the end state vision of the Risk function
  • Provide guidance on the selection and use of scripting tools and programming languages e.g. SQL vs Python
  • Collaborate with business and subject matter experts - exposure to and familiarity with business users, developers and modelers in the quantitative modeling space is critical to this role
  • Clearly communicate with other team members and technical teams to cohesively produce solutions
  • Provide alternatives for optimizing solution
  • Develop, test, and migrate solution through environments including production
  • Document solutions developed and knowledge transfer to other team members
  • Participate and/or facilitate process improvement
  • Adhere to formal software development processes and procedures
  • Applies knowledge to handle all but the most complex problems independently
Skills
  • Required
    • Experience with SQL, Python development including patterns and best practices
    • Expertise with Informatica
    • Knowledge /Experience with investment analytics tools or similar vender analytics platforms (market or credit risk) is required, experience with Moody's RiskFrontier and Moody's Analytics tools is highly desired
    • Knowledge of investments and accounting data (financial instruments such as bonds and derivatives) is required
    • Ability to work with various file formats and systems
    • Experience with reporting tools, scheduling tools and data post processing techniques is required
    • Attention to detail with the ability to see the big picture
    • Ability to communicate effectively using verbal and written methods
    • Proficient with standard documentation tools (Visio, Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and SharePoint document repositories
    • Strong organizational and time management skills
    • Desire to learn new technologies
    • At least 7-10 years of related experience
  • Preferred
    • Experience with DevOps concepts
    • Experience and Certifications with AWS/AZURE cloud
