Key Responsibilities

Diagnose, repair, and maintain:

o Heavy construction equipment (loaders, skid steers, sweepers, etc.)

o Small landscaping equipment (mowers, blowers, trimmers, etc.)

o Company vehicles (trucks, trailers, etc.)

Prioritize repairs and manage workload based on operational urgency and safety.

Order parts and manage inventory to ensure timely and cost-effective repairs.

Maintain accurate service records, work orders, and equipment history.

Ensure compliance with safety procedures, company policies, and regulatory requirements.

Provide occasional guidance to junior mechanics or operators on proper equipment use and maintenance.

Proactively identify potential issues and recommend solutions to minimize downtime.

Qualifications

Minimum of 5 years’ experience as a mechanic (fleet, heavy equipment, or automotive).

Strong diagnostic skills across gas, diesel, hydraulic, and electrical systems.

Must provide own professional-grade tools.

Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.

Strong organizational skills with the ability to prioritize multiple tasks.

Proficient in ordering parts and managing vendor relationships.

Valid driver’s license; CDL preferred but not required.

Preferred Skills

Welding and fabrication experience.

Knowledge of snow and ice control equipment.

Familiarity with fleet management software (a plus, but not required).
