General Machine Shop Help

Growing precision machining and sheet metal fabrication facility is currently seeking general machine shop help.

Job Description/Basic Duties:

- File, sand, de-burr or polish parts.

- Perform assigned duties using manual, pneumatic and electric hand tools and machines.

- Help around the shop operating machines as needed.

- Inspect and measure work piece to verify conformance to specifications.

- Perform cleaning operations.

- Perform machine maintenance as required.

Skills:

- Machine shop experience helpful but not required.

- Ability to read blueprints.

- Knowledge of deburring equipment, shear, press brake, production saws, drill press, milling machines helpful

but not required.

- Strong organizational, self-management, leadership and people skills.

- Efficient, results oriented, resilient, flexible and goal oriented.

- Well organized and able to multi-task.

- Ability to read calipers preferred, but will train the right individual.

- Teamwork and strong problem solving abilities.

- Maintain a clean and safe work area.

Experience:

- Experience in a job-shop environment helpful but not required. Willing to train the right individual.
