Job Summary:

We are looking for a passionate Retail Sales General Manager to manage our state-of-the-art laundromat! The Retail Sales General Manager will be responsible for the day-to-day operations and financial performance of their Lapels Laundromat store.

About Boston Laundry, LLC:

Boston Laundry, LLC is a franchisee of Lapels Laundromat. Clean Brands, the parent company of Lapels, is the largest dry-cleaning and garment care company in the country. Clean Brands has over 100 combined years of garment care expertise that they bring to their customers.

Lapels Laundromats will be state of the art stores that will offer garment care through several means: traditional self-service laundry, full-service laundry offering wash, dry and fold services, and dry cleaning.

Essential Job Functions:

General Manager

As the General Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day operations of the laundromat, the laundromat staff, and ensure a high level of service, safety, and cleanliness. Your responsibilities include, but are not limited to:

· Customer Service & Satisfaction:

o Arrive on time and in uniform, providing a positive example for the team.

o Assist customers with laundry card usage, machine selection, retail purchases, wash and fold orders, drycleaning orders, and any other inquiries or concerns.

o Proactively resolve customer issues.

o Ensure effective store opening and closing procedures and protocol.

· Store Safety & Security:

o Follow established safety protocols to prevent accidents and injuries for both customers and staff.

o Be prepared for emergencies such as fires, snowstorms, and severe weather, ensuring the safety of everyone in the store.

o Maintain a safe and secure environment both inside and outside of the laundromat.

· Store Cleanliness & Maintenance:

o Ensure the store is consistently clean and well-maintained, including both the interior and exterior.

o Monitor supplies and equipment for cleanliness and replenish janitorial items when necessary.

o Regularly walk the floor to collect debris, empty trash, inspect bathrooms, and perform other necessary cleaning duties.

o Regularly inspect and clean the washing and dryer lint and drain screens.

· Building & Equipment Maintenance:

o Use logbooks to document any maintenance or repair issues related to the building or equipment.

o Address any safety concerns or hazardous situations immediately during your shift.

· Retail Sales:

o Accurately operate the point-of-sale system and maintain knowledge of all retail products, the equipment, their uses, and benefits.

o Promote additional product sales to customers.

o Ensure retail shelves are stocked and organized.

· Wash & Fold Operations:

o Ensure consistent quality of wash and fold services, meeting customer expectations.

o Accurately use logbooks for tracking orders and equipment usage.

o Resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to wash and fold services.

· Dry cleaning Operations:

o Ensure consistent quality of dry cleaning services, meeting customer expectations.

o Accurately use logbooks for tracking orders and equipment usage.

o Resolve any customer complaints or concerns related to dry cleaning services.

This position requires an individual who is highly organized, customer-focused, and capable of managing multiple responsibilities with attention to detail.

Job Requirements: Must be able to stand for up to 8+ hours at a time for a shift Must be able to lift 35 pounds Must be able to communicate with all customers and associates in a professional manner Ability to resolve customer issues/complaints in a fashionable and timely manner Ability to train all store associates in their assigned tasks Ability to work a flexible schedule

Bi-lingual in English and Spanish

Our managers are the face of our stores. This would include assisting customers with everyday needs in a laundromat setting, completing customer wash, dry & fold drop off orders, dry-clean orders, as well as keeping the store clean and presentable.
