JOB TITLE: Field Delivery Engineer MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): - Associates degree or 5 or more years of work experience. - 5+ years Experience in both software installation and physical installations including camera installations, wiring, server installations, and sensor installations - Willingness to travel up to 100%. - Strong verbal and written communication skills with well-developed interpersonal skills. - Genetec Certifications in Security Center - Experience with working in Windows (MS Windows 10, MS Windows Server 2016/2019, MS Windows Server Storage Spaces Direct - Windows Admin Center), Linux systems and an understanding on how to create remote connections into server systems - Understanding of basic python and other shell scripting - Ability to interact directly with team members and work independently. - Attention to detail, organized and self-motivated with ability to multi-task and work in matrix managed teams - Flexible and adaptive to change. - Ability to certify and maintain certification in Video Management Systems. DESIRED SKILLS: - Additional security system certifications or IT certifications - Genetec Autoview and/or Security Center Certification - Bachelor's degree. - Two or more years of experience in a desktop administration role. - Computer, network operations, and maintenance experience. - Experience with wireless networks - Experience in providing program/project management and working knowledge of project planning tools - VMWare ESXi, Veeam Backup and Replication. - Experience with Lidar Systems, Analytics and IP video systems (such as Milestone Briefcam, Ironyun, Intuvision, Genetec, IP Configure) - Network IP cameras (Axis, Bosch, Avigilon, Client, Sony, Mobotix, etc.) - AWS, Azure and Google Cloud Platform Cloud Services. JOB DUTIES: In this role you will be installing and supporting all solutions that will be delivered by the delivery team including onsite management and orchestration of subcontracted installers. The role of the Delivery Support Field Engineer is to identify, troubleshoot and resolve issues onsite, providing quality resolution through thorough communications with customers and team members using Customer Relationship Management tools on all available channels, install endpoint hardware, servers and software and network cabling. . Your responsibilities will include: - Uncover the root causes of issues related concerns through communication channels available to understand their needs. - Log and document solutions providing a knowledge base for reference available to customers and other support team members. - Manage multiple customer sites and installation opportunities with a focus on establishing effective communications, trust, and confidence with each interaction while completing installations on time and on budget, with high degrees of quality and customer satisfaction. - Follow provided installation documentation and agreed upon best practices as provided by vendors and fellow team members - Manage 3rd party installation partners when necessary as part of the project - Provide on site equipment and hardware inventory management and organization - Install equipment which can include lifting, bending, twisting and working in tight spaces - While appropriate PPE will be provided, environments can at times be noisy or prone to dust, dirt and oils. - Working in a safe manner wearing appropriate PPE required for the job site and for the environmental conditions. As a field deployed technician you will be expected to be on site at customer installations during business hours. There may be times that this isn t possible, in which case you will be expected to work from home or work from a Telecommunication office. This should be defined in coordination with your manager and the opportunity project/program management team. EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS: - Associates Degree (Required) - Genetec Security Center Certification (Required) - Right of Way Certification (ROW) - Desired, but will be provided if candidate doesn't have it or it has expired. LOGISTICS: This is a standard 9-5 position, although occasional weekend work or weekend travel may be necessary the role is onsite installation and work site management at customer locations. This is up to a 100% travel position. As an Field Delivery Engineer you will at times need to bend and lift in order to run cables, set cameras, servers or other equipment and work on equipment. Customer sites may be either noisey and/or less than pristine.
