Hands -On Technical IT Manager
- Must Have Requirements:
- Solid hands-on technical skills with Cisco Networking, AWS, Fortinet and Palo Alto.
- Must be a generalist in other areas and willing to support and and all IT including desktops.
- Must be willing to work hybrid schedule in Boston office and travel to other sites.
- Most travel is pre-planned.
- Some management or mentoring experience.
- Small company experience.
Looking to hire a Technical Hands-On IT Manager for a small team that will be growing. This for now is a mostly technical position(90%) but will grow into more leadership as they grow. Ideal candidate will be an IT Manager out of a smaller shop. They have a VP of IT, Server Engineer, ERP Analyst and Business Analyst on the team. This person needs strong Networking experience, some AWS cloud, Palo Alto and Fortinet experience. The company is growing fast so there is growth to this position. Person needs to be ok with going into the Boston office 2-3 days a week and some travel to other locations(Maine and California along with some of their solar and wind sites). Total of about 160 users right now and still a private company. MustPreferences: any scripting is a nice to have. energy industry would be nice. any automation with Ansible Selling Point - Reasons to work here: Company is growing very fast and they can see this person growing into a Dir of IT in a few years.
