- Design - Working with sales and software engineering
- Schematic capture - Either self or directing external resource when needed
- Manage Layout - Either self or directing external resource when needed
- Scheduling - Working with manufacturing, sales, and the software team develop realistic but aggressive schedules for this and the next generation products
- BOM Creation - Identify all parts, work with manufacturing to acquire and identify long lead time or difficult to find parts
- Vendor identification - Identify and secure all sub-components
- Mechanical Design - Work with design contractor to specify design changes
- Mechanical Manufacturing - Work with metal shop to produce chassis
- Logistics - Work with contract manufacturing and supplier to create schedules, proto builds and final builds
- DVT - Design verification test of product ensuring safely, signal integrity and functionality
- ECO control - Generate ECOs and incorporate changes as needed
- Lead Qual team to reproduce, identify and resolve hardware issues
- Experience in Emissions testing and certification
- 5+ years’ experience
- BSEE/BSCS or equivalent
- Cadence / Orcad tools for schematic capture and layout
- Fluency in circuit design including high speed (PCIe) signals
- Proven track record working all aspects of hardware design, implementation and acquisition as described above
- Proven track record successfully working with regulatory agencies
- Knowledge of Broadcom PCIe switch products a huge plus but not required
- FPGA design a plus but not required
