HPLC & Analytical Characterization Scientist

The HPLC & Analytical Characterization Scientist will support the formulation and process development of biotherapeutic products through hands-on analytical testing and molecular characterization. This laboratory-based role focuses heavily on chromatography (especially HPLC) and other analytical techniques to evaluate stability, purity, and overall product quality.This role supports biotherapeutic programs across the development lifecycle, from early-stage research through commercialization. Responsibilities also include data analysis, reporting, and maintaining laboratory operations.ResponsibilitiesPerform analytical testing with a strong emphasis on HPLC techniques including SE-HPLC, IEX, HIC, and RP-HPLCConduct comprehensive characterization of biologics using techniques such as:Capillary Gel Electrophoresis (CGE)Imaged Capillary Electrophoresis (iCE)Spectroscopic and particulate characterization methodsEvaluate stability profiles and analytical performance of biologic candidates (e.g., monoclonal antibodies, proteins, mRNA, vaccines, ADCs)Support formulation development through analytical data generation and interpretationCompile data, prepare presentations and technical reports, and support data verification activitiesUtilize laboratory systems such as Empower and electronic laboratory notebooks (ELNs)Maintain laboratory operations including ordering reagents, equipment upkeep, and supporting inspectionsCollaborate with cross-functional scientific teams to support candidate progression
