Description Our client is seeking an experienced HR Specialist to manage a range of HR functions, including division-wide benefits coordination, leave of absence programs, workers' compensation administration, wellness initiatives, and HRIS support, with a strong emphasis on safety compliance. Key responsibilities include overseeing employee benefit programs—such as medical, dental, life, disability, 401K, and flexible spending accounts—and administering FMLA in alignment with multi-state leave regulations. The HR Specialist will also lead wellness initiatives, develop open enrollment communication strategies, and prepare materials for monthly meetings with regional HR teams. This role requires maintaining the HRIS and timekeeping systems, managing support tickets, and ensuring data integrity to support strategic HR processes. In addition, the HR Specialist will provide guidance on employee relations and policy interpretation, support payroll administration as needed, manage the Student Scholarship Program, and oversee workers' compensation claims, including injury reporting and coordination with carriers. This position includes generating key HR metrics and supporting ad-hoc reporting requests to inform HR and business strategy. Occasional overnight travel may be required. The ideal candidate will have legal authorization to work in the U.S. without must be eligible to work in the U.S., a bachelor’s degree in a related field, and at least 5 years of HR experience, with proficiency in web-based HR platforms and Microsoft Office reporting capabilities. Strong written and verbal communication skills are essential. This role is well-suited for a proactive HR detail oriented with a background in benefits administration, leave management, and HRIS, committed to upholding safety and compliance standards across all HR practices.
