- The overall goal for this role is to provide technical support at a consistently high standard over a broad range of technology and media types. This work is done both in person and remotely by serving as an active member of the Global Help Desk. Recording all support activities in the ticket system is imperative.
- You will also be responsible for liaising with the Telecoms team on system admin changes, working with broadcast engineers on routine maintenance/installations, tracking assets and maintenance of asset records.
- The ability to visit customer sites sometimes over long distances and on short notice, and supporting special events and breaking news is imperative for success in this role.
- Excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability to take initiative.
- 2-3 years' successful experience in a similar role is required
- Proven record providing excellent customer service
- Working knowledge of MS Windows and MAC platforms
- Good understanding of physical networking (LAN wiring / electrical, etc.)
- Ability to support wireless and mobile devices
- Ability to work with users of all levels
- Strong interpersonal and communications skills
- Works effectively even when under pressure
- Ability to work a variable schedule and be on-call if required
- Travel is required, sometimes on short notice
