Industrial Sewing Machine Operator

Position Summary:

The Industrial Sewing Technician is responsible for sewing and assembling custom motorcycle seat covers using a variety of heavy-duty sewing machines and materials such as vinyl, leather, and foam-backed fabrics. The ideal candidate has experience in industrial sewing, strong attention to detail, and a passion for craftsmanship.

Key Responsibilities:

Operate industrial sewing machines to produce custom seat covers according to specifications

Read and interpret patterns, work orders, and design templates

Work with materials such as vinyl, leather, suede, and specialty textiles

Inspect completed work for quality, consistency, and accuracy

Collaborate with upholstery and production teams to ensure proper fit and finish

Maintain clean and organized work area

Perform routine maintenance on sewing equipment as needed

Qualifications:

1+ years of experience with industrial sewing equipment (double-needle, walking foot, etc.)

Experience with upholstery or automotive/motorcycle applications preferred

Ability to follow instructions, patterns, and technical drawings

Strong hand-eye coordination and attention to detail

Reliable and punctual with good time management

Ability to sit, stand, and work with hands for extended periods
