Inside Sales position Carpet and Floorcovering sales

This sales position is out of our Lowell showroom at 287 Appleton St., Lowell MA 01852. Hours cover weekdays Monday through Friday 9Am - 5 Pm (Thursdays to 7PM) . This is an inside and outside flooring and carpeting sales position. Initially handle inside sales with outside site measurements to follow as you learn the business and get comfortable. You would handle incoming phone calls, meet and wait on walk in customers and meet with customer appointments in the showroom. Keep our showroom and samples updated, and showroom neat and presentable. Initially you would coordinate sales leads with our outside experienced flooring estimators to measure.

Product knowledge and ability to properly measure is critical in this field. This is an ideal position for someone with knowledge of the trade. Also excellent for retired flooring installers that have years of experience and are looking to remain in the trade (without the travel, lifting and wear on the knees etc.). Durkin's will assist in training a sales oriented willing learner of the product knowledge you need to assist clients. Good communications with fellow staff and customers is critical. This is an interesting business with working on client's interior needs.

Our flooring firm specializes in commercial carpeting and flooring work with some homeowners sale activity. We are a sixty five year old family business located in Lowell and have operated successfully in our field since 1960. Durkin's employees our own payroll installers and we are well known in the trade for our quality and service. Our sales and installations cover many repeat commercial clients both locally and in four N.E. States for larger National accounts.
