Solidus is looking for a IT Engineer/Software Developer to work within a team of software developers to design, implement, and test all hardware, software and security aspects of systems developed and deployed by our team in support of Government users. The Engineer will serve as a System Engineer and work in a Dev/Ops environment with a team of security and software engineers to develop and test prototype systems, involving frequent releases and patches to support mission needs.

An important aspect of this position will include the development, monitoring, support, and deployment of the build systems, environments and software, as well as capturing change logs/release notes and maintaining final configuration management. Depending on skill set and desires of the engineer, some algorithm development work could be included.

Required skills: - U.S. Citizen and able to obtain a DoD Secret Clearance - BS in Computer Science or related discipline with 5 or more years of experience. - Software/Algorithm Development - Java Development and IDE to Java - MVC frameworks (Struts, Spring MVC, Play) - Software Architecture, Design/Development and Documentation - Linux Environment - Programming languages: XML, SQL, C/C, JavaScript Development (2 years) - Scripting Languages: Perl, Python, Shell Scripting, Powershell (2 years) - Must have the ability to complete assignments working independently and in a team environment, and effectively present results.

Preferred skills: - Current or previous DoD Security Clearance - Java software development skills and large scale software experience. Software will be constructed primarily in Java, and run on a cluster of LINUX computers. - Formal software release and build environments - Software builds deploying JavaScript - Background in the following technologies desirable: ANT, IVY, Maven, Hudson, Jenkins, GIT, GitLab, Bamboo, BitBucket, Fisheye, Gulp, Grunt, Node.js, Npm, Openshift/Kubernetes, Docker, JIRA.
