Basic QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, a related field or equivalent experience is required plus a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience; or Master's degree plus 3 years of relevant experience.

As an

IT Infrastructure & Network Systems Specialist ( Adv Sys Admin Spec ), you'll serve as a front-line interface to users with technical issues by conducting systems analysis and development to keep systems current with changing technologies. Your duties may include installing new software, troubleshooting, granting permissions to applications and training users. You'll also be responsible for the day-to-day support of server services by performing server administration for physical and virtual server operating systems and configuring, maintaining, and troubleshooting of physical and virtual hardware and network related interfaces on servers. You'll perform OS and vendor software patching on servers and monitor physical and virtual servers performance using monitoring tools.

The IT Infrastructure & Network Systems Specialist in the Limited Access Areas (LAA) is the link between our customers and engineering teams. In this role you will help define requirements, architectures, and engineer for our sub-surface, and surface IT systems.

What you bring to our team:

  • A Bachelor's degree in systems engineering, a related specialized area or field and a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience or a Master's degree plus a minimum of 3 years of relevant experience. You may also bring equivalent relevant experience and certifications.

  • An advanced knowledge of RedHat Linux, VMware vSphere, application environments and related technologies.
  • An ability to architect, deploy and continuously maintain secure, reliable and flexible best practice infrastructures and systems.
  • Experience with implementing Linux/Windows security controls to maintain system compliance.
  • Subject Matter Expert in researching and troubleshooting complex technical issues.

What sets you apart:

  • Familiarity with compliance controls: STIGs (Security Technical Implementation Guides), RMF (Risk Management Framework), DFARS (Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement), NIST SP 800-171/800-53, Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification (CMMC).
  • Familiarity with developer tools/concepts/scripting/methodologies - JIRA, Confluence, GitLab, Docker, Ansible, Python, PowerShell, Bash.
  • Ability to engineer with system security as number one priority.
  • Ability to quickly grasp and adopt new technologies while continuously developing yourself.
  • Handle all levels of support with ability to collaborate and communicate with those of varying levels of technical skill.
  • Ability to multi-task, attention to detail, and strong motivational skills.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills from a variety of viewpoints.

What else you should know:

  • Department of Defense Secret clearance required within reasonable time after hire. Applicants selected for the IT-LAA Sr. Infrastructure & Systems Specialist position will be subject to a U.S. Government security investigation and must meet eligibility requirements for access to classified information.
  • Applicant must meet DoD 8570.1 certification requirements for IAT-I or higher. You must complete CompTIA Security+ certification minimum within 60 days of hire.

Target salary range: USD $103,500.00/Yr. - USD $115,000.00/Yr. This estimate represents the typical salary range for this position based on experience and other factors (geographic location, etc.). Actual pay may vary.
