he position exercises overall accountability and leadership for medium to large business projects, ensuring successful and timely implementation of solutions. This role manages the relationship and communication with the project sponsor, senior management and project stakeholders, including external vendors, helping to identify key barriers to project success while actively managing all risk mitigation activities, ensuring the delivery of a high-quality product, on-time and on-budget.This IT Project Manager II will be responsible for:Overall Project Management:- Drive consistent and efficient execution of projects up to $1M budget, by working closely with stakeholders to drive the adoption and implementation of company standards in processes and programs.
- Liaison between technical and non-technical teams, both for internal departments as well as vendors, to ensure project requirements, deliverables and milestones are clearly specified and met.
- Coordinate activities with project team members, internal departments and vendors to meet project goals, to ensure that completion is on schedule, within budget, and appropriate quality standards.
- Ensure project delivery according to the measures of success defined by business owner.
- Develop the project schedule to complete deliverables, determine critical paths, identify risks, and appropriate mitigation plans.
- Manage project budgets, including monitoring costs, vendor payment, and preparation of financial status reports; provides reporting progress to ensure projects are within budget, and monitors for issues communicating promptly with the ISD PMO leadership and sponsors.
- Determine corrective action for risks/obstacles with assistance from senior project managers.
- Work with the project team to seek input and validation from project stakeholders on requirements to ensure scope, deliverables and timelines for execution are well understood, clearly documented and actionable.
- Create clear and concise communication mechanisms to share understanding of project plans, status and issues with stakeholders, in the frequency and detail stated by the project governance.
- Reinforce roles and responsibilities with subject matter experts and key business and technical leads, continuously managing expectations and escalations throughout the project lifecycle.
- Monitor and control inputs and documentation including requirements documents, metrics, schedule, risk management and resource plans.
- Manage process compliance and provides input to incremental process improvements with the use of lessons learned and other process tools.
- BS/BA degree in Business or Technology-related field required
- Project Management certification (required)
- Agile project management certification (desired)
- 6+ years demonstrated competency and experience in project management from inception to delivery, including all elements of scope, schedule, budget, risk evaluation, issue resolution, quality, integration, staffing, and communications.
- Advanced SDLC lifecycle experience across waterfall, Agile and hybrid methodologies.
- Advanced data analysis and problem solving, as well as presentation skills.
- Strategic thinker with a track record of demonstrating good judgement, strong business acumen, and executing plans with a sense of urgency.
- Building constructive relationships to foster collaboration and cross-functional thinking.
- Organize and prioritize coordination of multiple jobs/assignments.
- Establish and maintain effective relationships to gain trust and respect.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to adapt to changing requirements and priorities.
- Demonstrated use of project management practices and tools.
