Job Title: Java Backend developer

Summary:The

Software Developer – Java is responsible for the technical design of software and underlying data technologies. The incumbent is responsible for developing custom business applications and providing guidance and support to Software Engineers. The incumbent will work with the latest Java-specific technology platforms. The incumbent will work with Business Analysts and users to define requirements develop technical specifications, code and complete unit testing of delivered solutions. The incumbent will also instruct software developers on the proper methods of design, define standard database design, and provide production support

Required Skills:
  • Provide hands-on functional and technical expertise in the analysis, design, development and implementation of business processes and applications.
  • Understand and provide comprehensive solutions for the business needs of internal customers.
  • Provide assistance to software developers.
  • Work on, and assume responsibility for the success of, various projects.
  • Develop business relationships and integrate activities with other IT employees to ensure successful implementation and support of projects.
  • Create technical designs for custom solutions to meet business requirements.
  • Keep abreast of current tools and technologies and select appropriate tools to improve software development.
  • Develop software in conformity with industry standards.
  • Provide consulting support on processes and systems issues.
  • Participate in new product reviews, tests and pilots.
  • Provide innovative ideas to improve the team’s abilities.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or Computer Information Systems or its equivalent with relevant experience
