Cabinet Designer Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to understand their needs and budget.
- Measure and prepare drawings with accuracy.
- Layout/model kitchens using design software.
- Price and order cabinets, counter tops, hardware, and accessories.
- Coordinate deliveries and collect payments for cabinet and counter orders, when applicable.
- Coordinate between customers, project managers, and other required vendors.
- Understand residential construction techniques, building materials and construction drawings, including knowledge of cabinet construction, appliance specifications, and plumbing & electrical components of kitchens.
- Anticipate installation details and potential issues in design phase.
- Apply detail notes on drawings calling attention to important details for installer.
- Maintain cabinet displays and samples.
Flooring Designer Responsibilities
- Meet with customers to understand their needs and budget.
- Knowledge of tile, carpet, wood and vinyl products.
- Measure and prepare quotes with accuracy.
- Anticipate installation details and potential issues.
- Oversee the daily operation and all phases of flooring projects including coordinating workers, material and equipment, moving of contents, scheduling and budget.
- Schedule installations with crews, PM’s and customers keeping all interested parties up to date.
- Follow through on order and delivery status
- Perform site visits as required to check on quality of installation and customer satisfaction.
- Recruit qualified flooring installers and maintain crews as needed.
- Contact new vendors, negotiate and purchase products.
- Maintain product samples.

Experience
Minimum of 2 years’ experience in Kitchen and Bath design.
Previous experience using 2020 Design Live required.
Proven history in meeting sales goals.
Construction design and building knowledge helpful.
