Job Description

We are seeking a passionate, inspiring individual to join our growing software development team as Lead Software Engineer. Ideal candidates have management experience, preferably leading an agile team, and can successfully manage, build, and maintain a .NET software system. Experience with Microsoft .NET and relational databases is essential, as the software being built will be used to ingest, validate, and deliver large and complex datasets to our worldwide customer base. Along with managing the group, this individual will be able to lend ideas and contributions that influence the company's future. Finally, this role participates in a Scrum environment, so a commitment to collaborative problem solving is a must.

In this role you will:

· Lead the day-to-day operations of your team

· Meet with direct reports to ensure high quality code development

· Oversee the resolution of customer issues raised to your team

· Manage and participate in all phases of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)

· Take ownership of projects and deliver with technical excellence

· Help translate requirements into high-quality software that is testable and scalable

· Act as a team player within the organization by collaborating with and training others as needed

· Develop documentation throughout the SDLC

· Participate in code reviews and design discussions

Qualifications

Required to succeed:

· The ability to motivate engineers and introduce new technologies

· Proficiency in

C# and .Net

· Experience building database-driven applications using

SQL Server,

Entity Frameworkor

ADO.Net

· Relational database experience including schema design, writing SQL queries,

SSIS, and basic SQL tuning concepts

· Understanding of writing testable software.

· Familiarity with design and architectural patterns to build scalable, maintainable, and testable software

· Proficiency with GitHub and Jira

Optional Experience:

· Financial Experience is a plus

·

.Net Coreexperience is a plus

· Experience writing unit tests is a plus
