This job's responsibilities include playing a lead role monitoring FSO's critical applications EASy and AMI, participating in risk management/information security activities, incident management/communications, and liaison to NIT and other FR business lines relative to environmental software upgrades and interfaces. The position also participates in contingency planning/testing and other resiliency initiatives. This is a remote role, You will work remotely from your home office. You agree to have the appropriate office set up to support your full engagement and protection of Federal Reserve information. You also agree to travel as needed to attend necessary business and team meetings in support of the successful delivery of the FSO CATS program.

Principal Responsibilities

The Lead Systems Analyst is a member of the FSO CATS Production Team. The team is expanding operations from five days of production support, with ad-hoc weekend support, to seven-day operations. This job includes regular holiday and weekend support for the critical Enterprise Accounting System (EASy) and Account Management Information (AMI).

The CATS Production Support Team supports the 12 Reserve Bank Accounting Operations, Federal Reserve Financial Services (FRFS) and external Financial Institutions. In support of these important responsibilities this position plays a lead role in performing and coordinating the following activities:

This position requires regular weekend and holiday work to support 7-day operations. 2nd shift hours 3:00 pm - 11:00 pm, 10% shift differential.
  • Daily System Monitoring of EASy & AMI Online & Batch Processes
  • Inbound and Outbound File and Report Monitoring
  • Incident Response Management (Collaborating with CATS Development, NIT & Stakeholders)
  • Contingency Planning and Support
  • Business Resumption Testing
  • Data Center Rotations
  • Security Assurance for the Federal Reserve (SAFR) Compliance Documentation
  • Security Assessments and Accreditations
  • Production Business Line Testing
  • Production Support with Business Lines
  • Internal and External Technical Audits Response
  • Customer Phone Support/Problem Resolution
  • Email (SMB) Support/Problem Resolution
  • Shared Responsibility for 12 Companies Daily Close Processes
  • Generating Reports
  • Late General Ledger & Other Key Business Functions
  • Leading the effort to learn and implement new monitoring technology with the transition to the Cloud Platform
  • Participate on, and contribute to, System-Level work groups dealing with accounting related applications
  • This position is not required to supervise others

Knowledge & Experience
  • Knowledge and experience normally acquired through, or equivalent to, the completion of a Bachelor's degree in business or technology and a minimum of 5 years of job-related experience including work with technology such as SQL, Linux, AIX and Shell Scripting
  • Experience working in a Cloud Environment is desirable

All employees assigned to this position will be subject to FBI fingerprint/ criminal background and Patriot Act/ Office of Foreign Assets Control (OFAC) watch list checks at least once every five years.

Due to the access to sensitive material, this role carries a risk rating that requires additional background-screening criteria be met. This may not be complete until after you begin working at the Federal Reserve Bank of Boston. The risk rating for this position has been determined as "MODERATE" and the enhanced screening consists of the following: • verification of prior employment (via inquiry); • verification of education (via inquiry); • verification of residence (via inquiry); • verification of US citizenship or status as lawful Permanent Resident Alien with at least three or more years of US residency from the date of legal entry to the US; • personal interview with you and • such other screening criteria that may be required by your role. While the results of this additional risk-based screening are pending, even if you have already commenced employment at the Reserve Bank, you would be in a provisional status. Hence, we would provide you with two notifications: the first, after your initial pre-employment screening is complete; the second, after you have passed this additional risk-based screening.
