Eaton’s ES AMER ESS division is currently seeking a Machine Operator - 2nd Shift. At our Worcester, MA we focus in the Electrical Sector when it comes to Critical Power and Digital Infrastructure to multiple segments, so of those being Utilties, Hospitals, Data Centers, and Commercial Institutions. The Machine Operator- 2nd Shift role will over full time 40 hour work week, Medical Benefits, 401K, vacation, and opportunity for upward mobility.​ Schedule will be 2:00pm-10:30pm and Monday-Friday.​The hourly rate for this position is $20.00 - $22.50 per hour with a 10% Shift Differential.Please note the salary information shown above is a general guideline only. Salaries are based upon candidate skills, experience, and qualifications, as well as market and business considerations.What you’ll do:Set-up/operation of multiple mechanical or hydraulic brakes, presses, shears, turret punch presses, grinders, and spot welders to fabricate components for product assemblies to meet customer demands. Maintain necessary records for all operations including 1st. piece inspection and safety start-up. Monitor equipment conditions and perform basic preventative maintenance. Checks completed parts to ensure compliance to Eaton Quality standards and makes necessary adjustments when required to meet quality goals.In this function you will:

Determine necessary tooling and program to complete production.

Determine and enter the Process parameters required for work order.

Operate equipment/machinery to produce parts

Interpret work orders including written, oral, Kanban cards, and drawings

Maintain necessary tools and materials for continuous operation

Inspect final component against work specifications

Maintain equipment and perform housekeeping duties as necessary.

Adheres to all environmental, health, safety rules and regulations, and work instructions including the use of proper personal protective equipment (PPE)

Assist team in achieving plant and department goals by flexing when needed.

Support on-the-job training and continuous improvement.

Fosters an environment that promotes Eaton’s goals, philosophies, and encourages continuous improvement through participation and teamwork.

General knowledge of Eaton Quality Management System (EQMS).

Qualifications:Basic (Required):

High School diploma or GED from an accredited institution

Legally authorized to work in the United States without company sponsorship.

Minimum of six (6) months prior experience in a manufacturing environment.

Relocation assistance is not available for this position. Only candidates in the immediate geographic area (50-mile radius) will be considered.

Ability to read and understand formal, informal drawings, and/or engineering drawings.

Preferred:

Experience with Eaton systems including DMM and AS-400.

Experience reading blueprint, manufacturing diagrams or drawings, or operating instructions.

Previous experience in sheet metal fabrication including experience with standard punch and bend tooling and processes

Skills

Exhibit strong verbal and written communication skills.

Receive information from team members regarding customer needs and product requirements and utilize this information to perform one’s function.

Exhibit strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve any obstacles or delays that may occur in the production process.

Knowledge of basic shop math.

Willingness to flex to different areas as needed.

Basic computer knowledge of Windows based operating systems and programs.

Ability to use measuring tape, and variable gauges, such as calipers.

Ability to change tooling/tooling parameters.

Ability to lift, push and pull 50 lbs.

Ability to use a crane once fully trained to lift items

Ability to stand for extended periods of time. Repetitive lifting, bending, and squatting is inherent to this position

Ability to wear required PPE for the role including but not limited to safety glasses, hearing protection, safety shoes, and protective arm and hand coverings.
