Position Overview:

We are looking for an experienced Estimator to join our team! The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining and manufacturing processes, with the ability to accurately estimate costs and lead times for precision parts in a highly regulated environment. This individual will play a critical role in supporting our sales and production teams by providing accurate quotes for complex projects and expanding our company’s customer base.

Key Responsibilities:

Review technical drawings, specifications, and CAD models to understand project scope and requirements.

Prepare detailed cost estimates, including material, labor, tooling, and overhead costs for manufactured components.

Analyze and interpret engineering data to identify machining and setup requirements, and production timelines applying updated industry technology.

Source and evaluate material and service suppliers to ensure competitive pricing and lead times.

Prepare and present formal quotes to customers, ensuring accuracy and clarity.

Maintain knowledge of industry trends, machining capabilities, and pricing structures.

Qualifications:

5+ years of experience in machining, with experience in an estimating or quoting role.

Strong knowledge of current CNC machining, materials, and manufacturing processes.

Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings, GD&T, and CAD models.

Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems and estimating software.

Excellent communication skills and attention to detail.

Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think critically.
