Job Description

The role is responsible for leading the planning and execution of innovative content marketing campaigns (i.e., email, social, paid) for a portfolio of events and digital media products. You will be a key player in the creation of the strategic plan for the portfolio as a whole, delivering on marketing objectives (i.e., traffic, impressions, attendance). Your role will work closely with the event operations and other content teams to ensure plans at all levels are integrated and delivered to the highest standard, on time, and within budget.

Strategic planning (25%)

  • Creation of marketing strategy and integrated marketing plans, to deliver key marketing and business objectives for the assigned portfolio.
  • Contribute to the creation of the strategic plan for the assigned portfolio, as a whole, by presenting the voice of the audience, presenting data, and helping create the vision for the team

Marketing Promotions Execution (50%)

  • Identify key target audience, manage and segmenting data, identifying gaps, and identifying a data acquisition strategy to support the strategic 1-3 year goals of the portfolio.
  • Execute promotions with the assigned portfolio audience including:
  • Coordinating the design and production of all marketing collateral relating to your brand, events, and products, including web banners/emails, etc.
  • Creating high-performing copy for product promotions.
  • Ensure appropriate online and offline channels are selected to promote the portfolio brand and individual products.
  • Creation and updating of portfolio and event websites with proposition and latest information.
  • Working with key associations and media partners to secure external promotions for events to broaden reach and exposure of events, digital products, and the portfolio brand as a whole.
  • Generating leads for the delegate sales teams.
  • Work closely with the content marketing team to ensure campaign and content plans are integrated and timelines are adhered to.

Analytics, Insight, and Reporting (20%)

  • Provide your manager with weekly ongoing events and campaign effectiveness reports, and make recommendations to drive continuous improvement, achieve revenue targets, and optimize budget spend.
  • Conduct strategic analysis of a range of performance metrics across physical and digital products, audiences, and marketing channels/tactics to provide strategic insight on the potential future of the portfolio and products within it and improve the ROI of future campaigns.
  • Present to management on portfolio performance across a range of products.

Other (5%)

  • Attends conferences and training as required to support the delivery team.
  • Supports delivery team with digital event delivery as required.
  • Manage ad hoc projects, or communication for additional products outside the portfolio as required by the schedule.
  • Performs other duties as needed.

Qualifications

  • BS/BA required and at least one (1) yearof marketing experience
  • Experience in a similar B2B events role is strongly preferred. B2B Digital Marketing experience is a must.
  • Proven analytical skills in reporting data and campaign performance as well as recommending improvements/solutions.
  • Excellent knowledge in digital marketing
  • Strong time management, prioritization, and attention to detail skills.
  • Able to work efficiently and independently in a high pressured matrixed environment that is constantly evolving.
  • Strong copywriting skills and interpersonal skills are highly desirable as both written and oral communication form an integral part of the role.
  • Enjoys working in a team environment and is able to display team spirit.
  • Must have strong leadership skills working across multiple levels of management from mid-level to key stakeholders.
  • Comfortable in an MS Office technical environment and other campaign management tools
  • Ability to travel by ground and air up to 10%
