Ranked 35 among national universities, Boston College has 888 full-time and 1,281 FTE faculty, 2,711 non-faculty employees, an operating budget of $1.4 billion, and an endowment in excess of $3.5 billion.Job DescriptionMen's and Women's Track/Cross Country Assistant CoachThis is a full-time position reporting to the Head Coach/Director of the Men's and Women's Cross Country/Track and Field program. Duties include, but are not limited to the following:Supporting the Head Coach in assisting with all recruiting and fund-raising activities, coordination and timely submission of all recruiting logs, telephone logs, and play/practice logs, and transportation of student-athletes to local practices and competitions. Preferred coaching background working cross country, mid distance and distance events.Applicant will need to have the ability to recruit at a high academic and athletic level those prospective student-athletes that meet the admissions requirements at Boston College.Competitive salary commensurate with relevant experience.RequirementsBachelor's degree required.Two-three years successful coaching experience, preferably at the collegiate level.Expertise in technical aspect of sport.Good organizational and communication skills.Ability to work effectively with college student athletes, athletic staff, University personnel and Alumni.Proficient computer skills including, but not limited to, Microsoft Office Suite and File Maker Pro.This position will be expected to perform all duties and responsibilities in compliance with all NCAA, ACC and Institutional rules.Preferred:Master's degree preferred.Competitive intercollegiate experience desirableClosing StatementBoston College offers a broad and competitive range of benefits depending on your job classification eligibility:
