job summary:

Randstad is working with a manufacturing firm that is looking to hire a temp-perm Network Engineer. This role requires going onsite 3-4 days/week. As a network engineer, you will help design, maintain, and secure their global network infrastructure. The ideal candidate is a flexible, driven, and diligent worker that is able to analyze the network both as a whole and in detail to provide seamless connectivity and security. This role has a hybrid schedule and requires going onsite 3-4 days/week.

location: Oxford, Massachusetts

job type: Contract

salary: $40 - 45 per hour

work hours: 8am to 5pm

education: High School

responsibilities:

-Design enterprise WAN connectivity and architecture in conjunction with global network team

-Implement, document, and troubleshoot network devices and services (e.g. firewalls, switches, VPN)

-Design and troubleshoot internal LAN segmentation

-Perform network maintenance and system upgrades including service packs, hot fixes, and security configurations

-Work with enterprise security team to select, implement, and enforce network security systems, tools, policies, and procedures

-Work with vendors to procure network equipment, internet circuits, and services

-Produce and maintain documentation for existing and new network layouts

-Provide support and troubleshooting to resolve issues

-Coordinate with vendors and other IT personnel including global staff for problem resolution
