Our client is seeking a Network Operations Manager (NOM) who will be responsible for managing the operations of our data center server and storage-based systems while identifying opportunities to gain efficiencies, cost savings and better business outcomes. The NOM is the primary POC as it relates to server and administrative architecture and support of all office and remote locations. The NOM is responsible for the on-going and continuous improvement of our life-cycle management process as it relates to server and DR center operations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Lead and manage the IT Network Administration team including the selection, mentoring, training, feedback and performance evaluations, assigning and monitoring work quantity and quality, manage schedules for appropriate coverage of a 24 X7 operation.
  • Focus on exemplary customer service to internal and external constituents.
  • Architecture and engineering of Firewalls, Routers, and Switches.
  • Maintain monthly security compliance and administrative functions of key systems.
  • Maintenance and management of key network resources
  • Coordination of third-party access to properly implement and maintain enterprise application sets.
  • Monitor and analyze daily, weekly, monthly, and YTD reports and stats to report on progress, trends and develop business solutions.
  • Meet regularly with management and production staff to identify issues and concerns. Identify opportunities and present possible solutions for improved efficiencies with a comprehensive plan and pricing.
  • Communicate key performance indicators and opportunities with all levels of the organization.
  • Create detailed documentation indicating system standards, necessities, operations, and protocols.
  • Manage and support implementations, projects and on-going business and operational processes related to technology.
  • Define and Manage Departments Best Practices
  • Develops and maintains processes to ensure the availability, integrity and security of the networks.
  • Installs and monitors hardware and software to ensure optimal network performance and function.
  • Interfaces with vendor technical support to resolve issues with network and telephony equipment.
  • Evaluates new technologies associated with area of responsibility.
  • Designs, maintains and supports network infrastructure across all campuses.
  • Installs, configures, maintains, and troubleshoots data network equipment, such as firewalls, routers, switches, wireless access points, and gateways.
  • Designs, maintains and troubleshoots campus cable plants for the data and telephony networks. These cable plants include inter and intra-building fiber/copper cable, equipment rooms, and cable management systems.
  • Perform diagnostic analysis of the network system, identify possible faulty devices, troubleshoot faulty modules, troubleshoot network problems and outages and prepare necessary documentation detailing actions taken

  • 3rd party staff as needed

QUALIFICATIONS
  • Results and detailed oriented critical thinker
  • Accountable self-starter with exceptional interpersonal and communication skills
  • Minimum 5 to 7 years of experience in process solutions or analytics.
  • Strong business and systems analysis skills, test planning and testing skills, troubleshooting skills and experience
  • Effectively manage multiple priorities
  • Outstanding demonstrated performance in preceding career path
  • Bachelor Degree in Business or similar discipline with strong computer skills including : VMWare, Microsoft Server, Active Directory, Exchange and O365.
  • Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
