Payroll Accountant

Description We are offering an opportunity for a Payroll Accountant to join our team, based in Boston, Massachusetts. In this role, you will act as a critical link between the HR, Payroll, and Finance teams, utilizing your skills in ADP for payroll processing and Microsoft Excel for data management. This role offers a contract to hire employment opportunity.Responsibilities: Serve as a bridge between the HR, Payroll, and Finance teams, ensuring smooth communication and coordination. Utilize ADP for payroll processing, including handling leave of absences. Provide advice on accounting practices to the team, leveraging your knowledge of accounting principles. Ensure timely response and resolution of inquiries from the HR, Payroll, and Finance teams. Maintain accurate records and perform regular audits to ensure data integrity. Monitor customer accounts and take appropriate action as necessary. Maintain confidentiality and adhere to data protection laws. Continually review processes and suggest improvements to increase efficiency and accuracy. Handle additional tasks as assigned by the management. Requirements Must hold a minimum of five years of experience in payroll accounting. Proficiency in ADP - Payroll is required. Should have the ability to process bi-weekly payroll. Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel are essential. Must have a solid understanding and application of accounting principles. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field is preferred. Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work. Ability to handle confidential information with discretion. Excellent time management skills to meet deadlines. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Must have the ability to work in a team environment. Familiarity with federal, state, and local payroll tax regulations. Demonstrated problem-solving skills and ability to implement solutions. Certified Payroll Professional (CPP) certification is a plus.
