Position OverviewThe Payroll Associate is responsible for ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time by processing payroll, calculating wages, deductions, and taxes, and maintaining payroll records. They ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations, resolve payroll-related inquiries, and coordinate with HR and finance on compensation changes. Additionally, they review and process employee expense reports, ensuring submissions comply with company policies and include proper documentation. Key ResponsibilitiesEnters, maintains and processes information in the payroll system, including employees’ hourly rates, salaries, commissions, bonuses or other compensation, time worked, paid leave and holidays, deductions and withholding, address changes, and additional information.Ensures proper processing of payroll deductions for taxes, benefits, wage garnishments, and other deductions.Reconciles payroll to the general ledger and monthly bank statements.Records and processes federal and state payroll tax deposits as needed.Assists with quarterly payroll tax filings.Processes employment verificationsResponds to employee inquiries regarding payroll matters.Maintains accurate payroll records.Generates payroll reports for internal use and audits.Supports year-end processes, including W-2 preparation.Adhere to strict confidentiality requirements.Onboards new hires in both payroll and the travel and expense system.Audits and processes employee expense reports through Concur and SAP accounting systems ensuring compliance with Company policies.Assist with monthly expense report journal entries in SAP.Performs other duties as assigned.
