The Raytheon Solutions Design & Integration (SDI) team is seeking a Principal Cyber Defense Analyst to be a member of the Systems Management & Security (SMS) team. As a Principal Cyber Defense Analyst, you will:

Conduct cyber security operations and system sustainment across a wide spectrum of cyber disciplines in support to enclaves or secure networks.

Ensure the protection of data against unauthorized disclosure, accidental or intentional loss of data, or unauthorized modification.

Evaluate system security configurations against industry or government standards.

Perform vulnerability assessments and analysis of applications, operating systems, or networks in the context of industry standards, government standards or privacy.

Identify intrusion or inappropriate activities and isolates, blocks or removes threat access.

Evaluate findings and performs root cause analysis.

Contribute to the design and development of tools, systems, and policies for network and data monitoring, segmentation, access control, encryption, and transfer.

Implement and sustains security infrastructure engaging outside subject matter experts when appropriate.

May prepare and present technical reports and briefings.

May also serve in policy or governance positions where broad knowledge is required.

This position is an ONSITE role that can be in Andover MA, Tewksbury MA, Woburn MA, Marlborough MA, or Portsmouth RI

What You Will Do

Support the design, integration, and testing, of system related technologies within new or existing information Systems.

Collaborate with diverse cross-functional groups to create innovative solutions to complex issues

Support the establishment of functional and technical specifications, define input/output parameters, and ensure integration of an entire systems or subsystems.

Diagnosing and troubleshooting hardware and software problems

Identify opportunities within existing technologies to streamline efficiency

Document system solutions and capabilities.

Assists in assessment and maintenance of system security assessments and reporting.

You must be able to obtain Department of Defense Directive (DoD) 8140 Level II Certification within 6 months of start date.

Up to 5% travel

Qualifications You Must Have

Typically requires bachelor’s degree and 5 years of prior relevant experience or master’s degree and 3 years of experience

The ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government issued security clearance is required. U.S. citizenship is required, as only U.S. citizens are eligible for a security clearance."

Experience with automation and scripting deployment.

Experience with system hardening.

Experience with Windows Server and server replication methods. 

Experience with application installation and multi-server environment/deployment.

Qualifications We Prefer

Strong understanding of Group Policy

Strong understanding of cybersecurity fundamentals and best practices.

Experience with networking

Experience using VMware products, VDI (Horizon), and ESXi and/or other virtual computing methods.

Subject Matter Expert level knowledge of best practices pertaining to Windows hardening

DevOps and automation technologies (e.g., Git, Docker, Kubernetes, Terraform, etc.)

Scripting (e.g., Bash, PowerShell, Python, etc.)

Understanding or knowledge of cloud computing concepts

The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels.
