Job Description Principal Software Engineer Location: Waltham, MA Get To Know The Team: We are seeking a full stack principal software engineer. This position requires strong experience in hands-on development and participation in all phases of the software development lifecycle. You will work closely with Product team to understand requirements and business specifications around Intralinks' portfolio of applications in a highly available and secure SaaS environment. This position will work as part of a larger development team focused on driving innovation across the enterprise platform. Write top notch code in multi-tiered multi-threaded environment. Attend sprint meetings with team members to define and analyze development requirements and provide work breakdowns and estimates of work. - Engage with Product Management and other stakeholders on the requirements and implementation effort
- Create detailed design documents by partnering with rest of the team around implementation and dependencies
- Independently implement complex components based on design specifications. Research, evaluate and make recommendations regarding new technologies
- Consistently deliver clean, secure and efficient code
- Carry out precise unit, system, automation and security testing
- Perform detailed code analysis and code reviews
- Debug defects, identify and rectify offending code, and develop test cases to capture the use case promptly
- Mentor junior team members on the product, process, and its implementation towards team success
- Contribute towards the maintenance of active releases in production
- 7+ years of experience with Java, NodeJS, or Python
- Strong, demonstrated ability to design and develop modular, reusable code
- Experience implementing microservices with REST or Messaging Pattern, Event-Driven Architectures a plus
- Ability to work on a small to medium sized team and become lead for area of focus
- Appetite to learn new languages / frameworks.
- Comprehensive knowledge of best practices and design patterns for SaaS, microservice architecture
- Experience with Spring technologies and/or CI/CD is a plus
- Familiar with Agile-Scrum methodology and practices
