Who you are:

A procurement professional who has over 5-10 years of category procurement experience, with at least 5 years of leading procurement experience in support of sourcing related activities. You understand the HR & Professional Services market structure, key players and the levers that can be used to ensure the right trade-off between cost and quality. You are well versed in the contract nuances relative to the category and are accustomed to working with internal and external stakeholder relationships to ensure service levels and customer satisfaction are met.

Culturally you will have had exposure to working in US and can operate with suppliers in all countries mainly in North America and Europe.

The Role:

  • The Sourcing Specialist leads is responsible for leading and managing RFP's, guiding stakeholders on the RFP process and ensuring the RFP's are completed within the given timelines and within compliance.
  • In addition, the Sourcing Specialist may lead proactive category projects to support the delivery of global procurement targets, spanning sourcing projects, demand management and process re-engineering, as well as managing supplier performance and innovation activities.

Accountabilities:

  • Collate supplier, market, category and internal business data and information for the category and provide regional input to the Category Strategy, including facilitating involvement of relevant stakeholders. Using this as a basis, the manger will communicate and distribute the global category strategies to relevant stakeholders in the procurement and business community. To ensure the Strategies developed will be aligned appropriately to the Global objectives.
  • Build a pipeline of category initiatives and opportunities (Savings / Productivity / Risk Management / Innovation) required to meet targets using external supply market / business intelligence, application of benchmarking methodologies and internal business partner knowledge.
  • Support the global development and standardization of core category management infrastructure (Processes / Systems / Tools) and encourage adoption in the region to improve procurement efficiency, performance, and compliance.

Administration:

  • Follow the defined process to ensure contracts developed in the category are effectively implemented at a regional, and local level (as needed) including both terms and conditions and sign off procedures.

The ideal candidate:

  • Must have indirect spend procurement experience in HR & Professional Services related categories such as Translations, Recruitment, Training, Consulting Services, etc.
  • Must be fluent in English.
  • Knows the supplier landscape and has working relationships with known key suppliers.
  • Has hands on experience of shaping and executing category specific sourcing strategies including contract shaping.
  • Can work comfortably across time zones and cultures in an effective way to build and nurture cross cultural relationships.
