Registered Nurse (RN) Specialist

Registered Nurse (RN) SpecialistWe are seeking a motivated Registered Nurse (RN) Specialist to join our growing team. This position will require travel for coverage in Massachusetts. The focus for this position will include oversight to our Teams while ensuring compliance to State and Federal regulatory guidelines as well as monitoring and updating company policies and procedures. Salary Range: $120,000 - $130,000 YearlyJob Description: Responsible for all areas of the Health & Wellness department (compliance, planning, assessments, directing, budget, staffing, hands-on care) in accordance with current state regulations and company policies and proceduresComplete and ensure thorough resident assessments are being conducted for residents on Basic Health ServicesConduct compliance visitsEnsure resident care needs are met and maintained according to physician orders, state regulation, and company policies and proceduresEnsure the effectiveness of the resident’s care plan is documented through written progress notes and through verbal communication with residents and associatesEvaluates the health and wellness Directors’ skill competencies and overall performance to ensure compliance with State regulations and company policies and proceduresImplement training programs and in-services for Health and Wellness Directors in accordance with state regulationsProvide ongoing leadership to the Health & Wellness Directors and ensure staffing levels and shift schedules are operating at the highest levelFill in for the Health & Wellness Directors while out on vacation or during vacanciesHiring, training, and mentoring of Health and Wellness DirectorsDevelops and maintains department budgetary guidelines for staffing and suppliesDevelop, implement, and maintain compliance with assisted living and memory care, to ensure safety, and clinical standardsServe as a member of the Regional Leadership Team responsible for the overall strategic direction and management of clinical strategies in assigned portfolioMonitor and analyze resident care data in accordance with (State Regulations and company policies and proceduresPerform audits to ensure thorough resident assessments, care plans, and documentation in EHR and EMAR. Assist with action plans and plans of correctionEnsure compliance with resident rights and work to resolve resident grievancesSchedule site visits to provide supervision, mentorship, and clinical expertise. Communicate and monitor the overall operation and outcomes of the nursing departmentAssist with implementing best practicesImplement orientation training programs and in-services for all nursing teams in accordance with state regulations and company policiesTrain, coach and counsel nursing staffParticipate in prospect/admission process and discharges, as neededDevelop, implement, and lead the company’s quality assurance program and develop benchmarks and monitoring measures to ensure complianceDevelop and maintain department budgetary guidelines for staffing and suppliesAttend care conferences as neededWork with third party vendors/partners to improve outcomes/relationshipsParticipate in mock survey visits and attend annual/complaint survey visits, as neededAudit level of care assessments for accuracy and complianceParticipate in recruitment efforts, including but not limited to interviews, and selection processOrchestrate onboarding for community Directors of Health and WellnessWork with Executive Director and community to ensure appropriate coverage during vacanciesCommunicates appropriately to VP of Health & Wellness/Operations, on areas of significant concerns, risk and sentinel events within the designated portfolioParticipate in corporate meetings/calls (nursing, sales, operations) as neededAttend Home Office and off-site meetings, as needed
