Research Technician/Technologist - Cambridge, MA

Title: Research Technician/Technologist Location: Cambridge MA 02139 Duration: 6+ Months (Likely extend) The successful candidate will be working on a team with fellow research engineers and scientists on projects related to the analysis and manipulation of reservoir fluids (brines, gas, oil), including gas conversion technologies and technologies for the extraction of critical minerals. The candidate will be expected to work primarily in a laboratory environment, setting-up and operating customized instruments, basic experimental design and execution, and reporting results to principal investigators. In addition, the candidate will be responsible for regular tasks related to equipment maintenance, overall lab organization, and lab safety. Optional skills/experience: Experience in sample preparation and routine analytical analysis techniques, such as optical spectroscopy Training in instrumentation or basic machine shop skills " Additional Job Details: Bachelors level physicist, industrial chemist, or chemical engineer Background in experimental work with demonstrable experience involving: Design, construction, or operation of custom-built instruments Ability to optimize equipment capabilities and troubleshoot problems Programming skills related to instrumentation or data collection, such as Matlab, LabView, or equivalent.
