Company Overview:One of the top warehouse membership retailers is in search of a talented SAP IS Retail Technical Lead to join their dynamic team.

Position Overview:An experienced SAP Technical Lead who is equally at home with SAP development projects and people management. This person should be capable of delivering highly complex projects and service requests, comfortable and proficient working directly with the business and/or project management. This person will be responsible for architecture, design and tracking of custom solutions in an SAP environment.In this role, you will assist the SAP team with requirements gathering, and work through all aspects of the development life cycle using SAP suite of tools within ECC and S/4HANA to transform data into information to achieve business goals and objectives.You will work alongside Onsite and Offshore team members to provide the highest quality application management solutions related to SAP ECC and S4 HANA eco system; maintaining a hands-on role to manage operational performance efficiency measures, resource planning, leading the team in the identification of technical design, prototyping, testing, training, and defining support processes and procedures.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Ability to assess development object for level of complexity and estimated effort
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and drive to resolution
  • Ability to facilitate meetings, gather, document, and clarify requirements
  • Perform Code Review
  • Leading strategic and transformation initiatives such as S4 in line with Organizational goals
  • Establishing standards and requirements on technical layers to deliver business value.
  • Orchestrating key proof of concept to assess performance optimization utilizing new SAP technologies.
  • Leading technical aspects of system development and integration and ensures that relevant technical strategies, policies, standards and practices are applied correctly.
  • Understanding and advocating the Enterprise Architecture and information technology strategies in Dec/Sec/Ops, Code reusability, and Process/Test Automation.
  • Analyzing SAP and partner roadmaps along with market trends to determine their potential impact to current systems.
  • Providing guidance on system builds and support for SAP rollout.
  • Leading technical development functions in and around ECC, SAP S/4 HANA ERP platform with business functions spanning across other systems and other SAP products such as PMR, CAR, Fiori, Analytics.
  • Working alongside system integration leads, functional leads, development and infrastructure leads in order to fulfil the stated primary goal.
  • Writing technical specs and reviewing other team member’s work
  • Troubleshooting, Debugging, Performance tuning and Archiving experience
  • Collaborate with Infrastructure, AWS, other Cloud technologies and SAS platform
  • Basic knowledge of SAP Roles and Security
  • Architect integrations with SAP and Non-SAP systems
  • Desirable Perishables DC integration experience
  • BTP Knowledge

Position Requirements/Qualifications:
  • 15 Years of SAP IS Retail experience with strong integration experience along with customizing iDocs and EDI configurations
  • 7 to 10 years of ABAP design, development, testing and deployment experience that includes Fiori, CDS, OData, SAPUI5, Adobe forms, RF, BRF+, Workflow, HTML, LTMC, LTMON, BADI's and user exits.
  • 5 years of ABAP development within S/4 HANA, best practices, performance optimization and standardization. In addition to, experience in supporting, designing, and building solutions in ECC
  • 5 years of hands-on development skills with ABAP/4 Programming Language including SmartForms, User-exits, BADI’s, IDocs, Object Oriented Programming in ABAP
  • At least one S/4 HANA System Conversion
  • Strong experience in SLT in replicating data across systems
  • SAP Business Technology Platform (BTP)
  • Experience with leading a team and guiding them through Code reviews, UT etc.
  • Should have strong experience in delivery with Agile methodology
  • Should be good with tools like Eclipse etc
  • Relevant SAP certifications in SAP ABAP on S/4HANA
