We are fully committed to developing new research tools to help define the mechanisms underlying cell function and disease, thereby broadly accelerating progress in biomedical research and medicine.Position Summary:We are seeking a Senior Research Associate with strong technical skills to join our Scientific Support Team within CST's Product Development Organization. This group plays a vital role in the advancement of our antibody development and validation efforts. The successful candidate will join a dynamic and collaborative group whose role is to provide technical bench support across Product Development. You will work with teams to maintain their pipelines and throughput, solve problems, improve processes, and contribute to research projects. Responsibilities may include performing ELISA, sample prep for proteomic analysis, molecular cloning, generating gene edited cell lines, peptide affinity purification, western blot analysis, and mammalian tissue culture.Responsibilities:- Assist the generation of knock-out and knock-in cell lines using CRISPR/Cas9 and other gene editing methodologies
- Assist molecular teams with vector design, oligonucleotide design, DNA isolation, PCR, restriction enzyme digestion, DNA ligation, etc.
- Perform ELISA
- Perform western blot analysis
- Perform mammalian cell culture techniques, such as cell propagation and transfection
- Assist with peptide affinity purification
- Assist with sample preparation for proteomic analysis by mass spectrometry
- Follow standards for good tissue culture practices including providing proactive, daily care of cell line
- Seek out technological opportunities that will improve quality, efficiency, or scalability of Antibody Development
- Maintain accurate and complete hard copy and electronic laboratory documentation in appropriate documentation systems
- BA, BS, or MS degree in a biological science (e.g. molecular biology, cell biology, biochemistry, biotechnology)
- A minimum of 4 years of previous laboratory experience
- A solid record of consistently generating high quality results at the bench
- A strong sense of urgency, a natural curiosity, exceptional attention to detail, and a commitment to following through
- You have exceptionally strong organizational skills and record keeping
- You pride yourself on being a strong communicator (written and oral) and have the ability to work in a team environment
- You are adaptable to changing environments and work processes
- Experience with mammalian cell culture techniques
- Experience performing western blot analysis
- Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects simultaneously
- Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment

- Prior experience working with various liquid handling platforms (e.g. Hamilton Robots, Plate Washers, Plate Readers)
