Scrum Master

Duration: Long Term Contract, 12+ MonthsSalary: $65+/hour W2Location: 100% Remote

Description: This Scrum Master is to be a champion of the Agile framework for the product teams and the organization; remove the impediments that affect the team's ability to deliver more value in the increment that is developed in a Sprint and shepherd the team to deliver iteratively and incrementally. This role is intended to help the Product Owner stay focused on what is most valuable for the business and the Development Team to maximize the value they deliver for each Sprint using proper development techniques.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide hands-on support to teams in adopting an agile mindset and practices with a focus on growing capabilities in teams.
  • Educate employees at all levels, on Agile principles, providing them with tools for implementing the process in their own work. Provide training sessions, charter boot camps and other interactive workshops as required that lead toward the organization-wide adoption of Agile methodologies.
  • Provide Agile coaching, which will require expertise in Agile Scrum, SAFe or SAFe-like frameworks, Test driven development and Kanban principles, methods, and techniques
  • Define, own, and sustain the master playbook on Agile for RBS based on evaluation of Agile frameworks, Organizational goals, and using learnings from pilot teams.
  • Ensure adoption of the Agile methodology and playbook is consistent across the organization by working with Agile teams and product owners.
  • Work with the Product owners and the engineering team to align the product vision with the delivery roadmap, quarterly & sprint goals
  • Facilitating multi-team events like Scrum of Scrum, Big Room Planning, Retrospectives.
  • Coach and mentor scrum masters. Develop self-organizing teams of agile teams. Access and measure the maturity of an agile team regularly.
Requirements:

  • CSM, PSM, PMI-ACP or SAFe 4.0 Scrum Master
  • Kanban Management Professional Certification
  • Must have 3+ years serving as an active Scrum Master in a software development environment
  • Experience working successfully with minimal supervision in a very dynamic and time sensitive work environment with changing priorities
  • Experience working with multiple teams including geographically dispersed teams in organizations with hybrid fulltime and outsourced resources models using Scrum, Kanban, Extreme Programming
  • Prior experience using JIRA, Azure DevOps and other issue tracking
  • Proven knowledge and practical experience of agile software development methodologies, values, principles, and practices
  • High-level understanding of technical issues
  • Experience conducting training for large groups on Agile and working with Product management in back log management strategies
  • Experience working with SAFE, Scrum, Kanban and Extreme Programming
