Senior Android Engineer Building a Home Automation Platform

Job Description A leading home automation company is expanding their mobile team. They offer a handful of products that help individuals create a connected home system to control heating, lighting, security cameras, locks, and a handful of other home security tools. They have millions of customers and are improving their mobile application to control of all versions and generations of their home automation products. They are looking for a Senior Android Developer who can contribute to a new platform and help innovate their existing mobile product suite. You will be expected to work closely with other engineers, have a naturally curious disposition, and will be able to experiment and run iterations on new solutions. This product is built primarily in Java and Kotlin. Required Skills & Experience

• 8+ years of mobile engineering experience, ideally using Kotlin and Java
• Android SDK tools, Crashlytics, Jetpack, etc
• Unit Testing
• Mobile Analytics Frameworks
• BS in Computer Science or relevant field of study/experience

• Collaborate with product, design, and engineering to translate product vision into reality
• Experiment and test product and design approaches to create a more robust customer experience
• Contribute to and establish Android development best practices in a collaborative setting
