Turner & Townsend is seeking an experienced Senior Construction Estimator to join our team to support large scale construction projects and programs. The ideal candidate will be a great communicator with a strong track record of providing accurate estimating services. Responsibilities:  Developing cost plans and estimates from concept through detailed design across multiple geographic regions; with internal and external staff. Delivering and presenting updated cost plans at appropriate design milestones. Experience in providing program-level estimates for specific scopes of work Coordinate, manage, and supervise the work of support staff. Reviewing proposed design changes/new technologies and preparing estimates within appropriate accuracy levels. Help drive cost model trends by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing cost information from completed projects. Assess cost effectiveness of alternate products and value engineering ideas at a program level. Support training to Development and external Estimating teams on new project estimating tools/templates. Support preparation of leadership presentations for the client’s Preconstruction and Estimating team. Delivering Life Cycle Costing models. SOX control responsibilities may be part of this role, which are to be adhered to where applicable.   Project/Program specifications:Prepares estimates at all design stages and benchmarks for asset classes in the following sectors:Pharmaceutical Life Sciences; R&D and ManufacturingCommercial DevelopmentHigher EducationCorporate Office Tenant ImprovementDevelops and Maintains Estimating, and Benchmarking Means Methods and Data Bases.Candidate will lead on all stages of the development of the estimate, from taking the initial brief from the client, ensuring the scope and project is understood, through to presenting the estimate to the client and design team so that the basis of assumptions and inclusions/exclusions are understood.Candidate will be required to prepare benchmarking analysis reports, which compare client projects on a $/sqft basis against historical projects, identifying cost drivers, abnormals and market trends.Early-stage feasibility estimates will be undertaken for projects in various international locations and the estimator will be required to utilize in-house project benchmarking data toCandidate will be required to support in active design stage cost management – explaining the basis of the estimate to the design team and then implementing design change management to manage the design to budget.
