Description As a Senior Principal Data Scientist at UKG, you will be part of a team that is leading the next wave of disruption in the Human Capital Management industry. Employing the latest advancements in data science and artificial intelligence, you will impact millions of UKG customers by unlocking the opportunities to help employees work and live more satisfied, enriched and rewarding lives. You have a broad breadth of knowledge and experience in most of data science domains e.g., supervised and unsupervised learning, natural language processing (NLP), speech and text analytics, computer vision (CV), document image processing, transfer learning, etc. and have a passion for solving business problems.Job Responsibilities:• In This Role You Will Partner with a cross-functional team of data scientists, software engineers, and product managers to deliver products and features which customers love• Leverage technologies, e.g., Python or Java, Jupyter, GCP, KubeFlow, CNN, RNN, Transfer Learning, etc. Reveal the insights hidden within huge volumes of structured and unstructured data.• Provide wide breadth of data science knowledge and skills in building machine learning models through all phases of development, from design through training, evaluation, validation, and implementation Flex your interpersonal skills to translate the complexity of your work into tangible business goals• The Ideal Candidate Is Technical. You're comfortable with open-source DS libraries and are passionate about developing further. You have hands-on experience developing data science solutions using open-source tools and cloud computing platforms.• Statistically minded: You've built models, validated them, and back-tested them. You know how to interpret a confusion matrix or a ROC curve. You have experience with clustering, classification, NLP like sentiment analysis, computer vision like document classification, entity extraction, and deep learning.• Data: You have the skills to retrieve, combine, and analyze data from a variety of sources and structures.• Innovative. You continually research and evaluate emerging technologies. You stay current on published state-of-the-art methods, technologies, and applications and seek out opportunities to apply them.• Creative. You thrive on solving undefined problems. You love asking questions and pushing hard to find answers. You're not afraid to share a new idea.

Qualifications • Bachelor's Degree in Data Science, Machine Learning, or relevant "STEM" field (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics)• At least 6+ years of experience in data science and/or machine learning modeling• At least 5+ years of experience in some of the open-source libraries e.g., OpenCV, Apache OpenNLP, NLTK, SpaCy, Stanford CoreNLP, etc. and/or Google Vertex AI, Document AI, etc.• At least 2 years of experience with both relational and/or non-relational databases with 3 years of experience in Python, Scala, Java, and/or R• 5 years of experience with many of the data science domains, e.g., NLP, CV, GBMs, etc. with general knowledge or experience in GCP
