Job Description How will you make an impact? Be the primary point of contact for both the customer and the core project team in all matters related to the development, characterization and technical transfer of the biologic manufacturing processes. The position requires a highly motivated and tenacious, self-starter who is able to assimilate new information quickly and enjoys working closely with others within a fast-paced environment. The individual must have bioprocess technical knowledge as well as traditional program management and leadership skills. This opportunity is remote with expected travel <25%. About the Role:
Responsible for customer project management including communications, financials, scopes of work, timeline, risk analysis, governance structure, and conflict resolution.
Maintain strong business relationships and drives growth through strategic program governance.
Resolve diverse issues where analysis of situations or data requires an in-depth evaluation of variable factors.
Communicate regularly with the business team, technical team, and customer team. Report on the status of program milestones, issues and risks.
Ensure site processes and tools for program support are aligned with harmonized processes and handled consistently across the network.
Collaborate with site financial management staff to deliver financial results of the business.
Champion deployment of approved business maturity solutions.
Exercise consistent independent judgment to drive value for the company and customer.
Interact with cross-functional teams, outside customers, and third parties to drive proactive solutions to deliver extraordinary customer service and program delivery.
What we are looking for: Education
BS/Master’s Degree or Ph.D. in related field/ Life Sciences field preferred. M.B.A. is desirable.
Project Management certification is strongly preferred.
Equivalent combinations of education, training, and meaningful work experience.
Experience
8+ years of previous related experience, with 4-6 years in business management, project management, supply chain, sales or marketing with internal and external client-facing responsibilities.
Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a project or program management role dealing with customers (ideally in a contract manufacturing organization), managing programs with significant business impact. Typically, will have greater than 10 years industry experience.
Pharmaceutical or Contract Manufacturing experience.
Familiarity with budgeting and financial modeling
Ability to assess business needs and provide a perspective on departmental goals and objectives based on priority / impact.
Ability to prioritize simultaneously and respond appropriately to change.
Ability to interact effectively with clients to advance program outcomes.
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Ability to proactively mitigate program risks.
