Senior Rail Systems Lead

AECOM is seeking a Senior Rail Systems Lead to join our World Class Transit/Rail Team in support of our New England Region systems practice.JOB SUMMARY:The Sr Rail System Lead will work collaboratively with a team of engineers and specialists across rail systems disciplines (Systems Engineering, Signals, Electrification Systems, Data Communications), including Project Managers, Systems Engineers, Signals Engineers, and Rail Ops Analysts.  As the Sr Rail System Lead, you will be responsible for ensuring that the systems design is completed, and requirements of the Performance Specifications and other design criteria are met. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:Lead design and specification development of the following specialties: Systems Integration, SCADA, Communications, Trackwork, Signaling, Train Control, Systems Assurance (RAM), Safety Assurance, Vehicle and Wayside Interfaces, Traction Power Design, Power Supply and Distribution, System and Train Simulation, Tunnel Constructability, and Fire VentilationOverseeing the preparation of detailed calculations, drawings, technical specifications, procurement documents, design and installation packages, proposal evaluations, technical reports, cost estimates, detailed analyses, design justifications, and other materials suitable for procurement and construction purposes for transit/rail projectsEnsure all design elements are compliant with the relevant Rail Operation Rules, all applicable industry codes and standards, and client expectationsProvide valuable leadership to mid-career staff and mentoring to develop their technical skills.Interact with clients to discuss technical topics in a clear and professional manner. Facilitate resolution of customer expectations versus technical issuesWork with tight schedules and motivate project teamsPlan and execute project work, based on an understanding of the project scope, schedule, and budget
