My client is hiring for a Senior Software Developer, they are the largest travel site in the world, visited by over 463 million travelers each month. The advertising and partnerships solutions team is responsible for building a suite of products that serve advertisers and enable them to market their business on my clients site. They are hiring for a frontend react developer or a fullstack react java developer.

As a Senior Software Developer on their team, you will lead the development of large scale projects in support of their products across all layers of the stack. You will be responsible for the code quality on your projects and the projects you lead, mentoring junior developers, and actively provide, design and code reviewers to your peers. The ideal candidate is a self-starter and results oriented developer, able to collaborate with other developers and like working with a large number of technologies. Most importantly, someone who likes a fun and friendly environment where they can positively influence the technical direction of the team.

Required Skills and Experience:

  • At least 6 years' experience of commercial software development

  • Computer Science degree or equivalent experience

  • Proficiency in JavaScript, including DOM manipulation and JavaScript object model

  • Thorough understanding of React.js and its core principles

  • Experience working with GraphQL to query backend APIs

  • In-depth and hands-on knowledge of Java based microservice architecture, and relational databases

  • High quality verbal and written communication skills

Desired Skills and Experience:

  • Team leading experience is a plus

  • Experience with AWS is a plus

  • Sense of ownership, urgency and pride in your work

  • Reasonable understanding of building production quality software
