Position: Senior Software Test Engineer

Client: Schneider Electric

Location: Andover, MA (Remote with 1 day a week in office)

Duration: 12+ month contract, potential contract to hire

Others is a plus (Cloud, programing languages).Top Skills:Excellent in Testing (Functional & Non-Functional)Test AutomationPrograming Languages: Python, Scripting, (a plus: C#, Java)Cloud experience (Azure/AWS)We are looking for a passionate and skilled Senior Software Test Engineer to help us deliver Schneider Electric’s corporate Data Management platform. As a member of the team, you will work closely with Development, DevOps, QA, and Cybersecurity teams.The Senior Software Test Engineer will be responsible for taking ownership of our internal testing framework, maintain and improve its capabilities. Providing testing guidance to fellow engineers and recommend new test frameworks and tools. Verifying the successful integration testing of our Cloud platforms. Designing and developing performance tests, automated integration tests for a distributed system, executing tests, trouble-shooting defects, and working with individual development teams to resolve issues. She/he will ensure best practices are followed while being responsive in a dynamic and iterative Agile development setting.Responsibilities:• Design, develop and execute automation tests using C#, Python, or scripting languages• Taking ownership of customized testing framework and improve its capabilities • Evaluate and recommend test frameworks and tools for cloud testing • Perform full stack integration testing within our continuous integration/ continuous testing/ continuous deployment pipeline • Work with development teams to resolve identified issues • Perform Load and Stress testing of applications using Test Automation tools• Identify defects, risks and tracking them until resolution• Enhance or create an automation framework that drives end-to-end product test coverage by using the best available test automation tools and technologiesQualifications/Skills Required:• 5-year experience designing, implementing and executing test automation for integration, performance and scalability testing• Experience with Microsoft Azure Data Bricks, Data Lake, Data Factory and Data Warehouse• Demonstrate strong knowledge in software quality testing principles, practices, and patterns• Working experience with public cloud (Microsoft Azure, Amazon Web Services, etc.)• Experience with Python and PowerShell• Excellent attention to details and communication skills, both written and oral• Excellent organizational and time management skills• Experience with REST API (Application Programming Interface) testing• knowledge and expertise with Microsoft computing environments in Linux and Windows • Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery (CI/CD) • Experience working within Agile development process• Self-development skills to stay up to date with fast-changing trends• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related fieldQualifications/Skills Desired:• Experience with Azure IaaS/PaaS (App Service, Worker Roles, IoTHub, ServiceBus, Cloud Services) • Experience with App Insights or any other APM (Application Performance Management) tools• Experience with InfluxDB and MongoDB for time series database testing• Experience working with Azure DevOps and GitHub Actions to build CI/CD pipelines• Experience designing testing framework for large and complex platform service• Experience with Postman automation • Experience using Docker and Kubernetes to execute scalability testing in a containerized platform • Experience with both data migration and data transformation testing• Hands-on experience testing Kafka stream processing services such as Kafka Consumers and Producers to publish and subscribe Kafka topics
