We have long been associated with many of the most significant advances in eye health, and we believe we are well positioned to continue leading the advancement of eye health in the future.Position summary:The Sr. Trade Compliance Specialist is a member of the global trade compliance team for Bausch + Lomb. The position supports the overall management of the companies' Global Trade Compliance program to include compliance with US Customs Regulations, applicable Partner Government Agency (PGA) regulations, Free Trade Agreements (FTA), and Supply Chain Security.Key responsibilities:Monitor import entries, provide clearance details, and respond to broker requests for information

Update stakeholders on clearance status and potential delays

Maintain and update parts databases

Conduct internal compliance audits and implement corrective actions as necessary

Support FTA and TAA certification programs

Support Labeling team with direction on Customs origin marking requirements

Support the Company’s C-TPAT certification

Support the Company’s C-TPAT Trade Compliance (ISA) program

Support the SAP GTS implementation in the area of Compliance Management, Customs Management and Preference Processing

Support the implementation of global trade content software

Work with cross functional teams to review and communicate trade compliance requirements and provide guidance as a subject matter expert when requested

Qualifications/experience:Bachelor’s Degree in relevent discipline

5 + years in import compliance related job responsibilities

Customs Brokers License preferred but not required.

SAP GTS hands on experience a plus.

Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to work with others in a positive and effective manner in a global organization.

Ability to critically review product information and assess application of regulatory framework to products.

Ability to assess risk and, where appropriate, recommend actions and strategies to mitigate regulatory risks.

Self-starter with the ability to work independently on multiple tasks to meet or exceed deadlines, prioritize, and maintain flexibility in fast-paced, changing environment.

Excellent communication skills, both oral and written.

Demonstrated ability to contribute to a continuous learning and process improvement environment

Demonstrated knowledge of US Customs and FDA import regulations

Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
