You’ll be: Providing direction and leadership to the Shipping department team members Evaluating and selecting transportation carriers, transport methods, and routes Ensuring order accuracy and compliance with customer shipping requirements Maintaining excellent relationships with transportation representatives, vendors, and suppliers Interfacing with customers regarding delivery schedules and transportation methods Managing inventory, stock placement, and warehouse space utilization Participating in the selection and training of team members Promoting a safe work environment and ensuring compliance with safety regulations Ensuring shipping facilities and equipment are operationalThis job might be an outstanding fit if you: Have previous experience in shipping and receiving management Possess strong leadership and communication skills Are knowledgeable about transportation methods and regulations Have working knowledge of MS Office and MRP software 5+ years of experience in a leadership role in logistics/shipping/warehousingWhat happens next:Once you apply, you’ll proceed to next steps if your skills and experience look like a good fit.
