Client is looking for a Snowflake Developer well versed in Snowflake warehousing, architecture, processing and administration.

Requirements of the SecOps Engineer
  • Experience in building data engineering pipelines within Snowflake.
  • Demonstrate Strong PL/SQL skills or snowflake SQL implementing complex stored procedures.
  • Strong understanding of best practices in data warehousing and ETL concepts.
  • Strong understanding of RDBMS concepts, Entity and Relationships, able to define all SCD types & have an implementation approach towards it.
  • Strong understanding of various kinds of SQL JOINs, stored procedures, UDFs, and CTEs.
  • Experience with building nested views in Snowflake.
  • Experience in building resilient data engineering pipelines within Snowflake.
  • Demonstrate expertise in snowflake data modeling and ETL using snowflake SQL implementing complex stored procedures.
  • Demonstrate good Rest API knowledge.
  • Strong PL/SQL knowledge and experience.
  • Have a good understanding of any ETL/ELT tool which brings in data to Snowflake like DBT/Matillion/Hevodata/Fivetran/etc.
  • Should be familiar with AWS services like S3, SNS, SQS, File transfer protocols, storage integrations, etc.
  • API familiarity within AWS is an advantage.

Responsibilities
  • Orchestration within Snowflake by using Tasks/Streams/Identify CDCs.
  • Fine-tune code and do performance tuning in PL/SQL.
  • Programming using snowflake with language as SQL (having JAVA experience is an added advantage).
  • Create CTEs, Complex nested views, tasks, streams, different kinds of tables, etc within Snowflake.
  • Pperformance tuning within Snowflake.
  • Perform code reviews and guide the engineering team on Snowflake best practices.
  • Data loads from AWS-S3 to Snowflake using various options such as bulk loading/Snowpipe/etc.
  • Programming using snowflake concepts like orchestration of jobs – moving files from FTP to S3 bucket.
  • Loading and processing structured and semi-structured data in Snowflake.
