Software Development Engineer

Software EngineerContract or perm50-60/hr or 115-130k;

• Be able to take on and complete software engineering tasks under the guidance of a senior engineer
• Participate in all phases of the Software Development Lifecycle
• Participates in software architecture, design, implementation, and software integration activities
• Responsible to develop and write software requirements and detailed design documentation
• Work closely with software test engineers to support the development of test cases
• Document code according to professional and established standards
• Be curious, detail oriented, and analytical, with an ability to learn quickly
• Be a great team player!

• Requires a BS degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Physics or a related Engineering discipline

• 1 – 2 years’ experience developing desktop applications using C#/.NET with the following technologies: WinForms/WPF/HTML

• Experience with relational databases such as SQL Server
• Experience working with design patterns
• Experience writing automated software unit tests

• Experience with GIT source control

• Experience with CI/CD
• Ability to understand and resolve problems at both system and code levels
• Excellent communicator - written documentation and oral presentations/ discussions/ meetings
• 1 – 2 years’ experience with C/C in a real-time embedded environment is a plus
