As we continue to expand our presence, we are seeking a talented Software Engineer to join our dynamic team in the Boston area. Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and deploy high-quality software solutions for our EdTech platform, focusing on Java, Spring Boot, Cassandra, Oracle, ActiveMQ, API, Apache, TDD, Agile, AWS, and Microservices.
- Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, including product managers, UX designers, and other software engineers, to understand requirements and implement scalable and robust solutions.
- Participate in all phases of the software development life cycle, including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, and deployment.
- Write clean, maintainable, and efficient code while adhering to coding standards and best practices.
- Ensure the scalability, availability, and performance of our software solutions, utilizing cloud-based technologies and microservices architecture.
- Contribute to the continuous improvement of development processes and methodologies, promoting agile practices and TDD (Test-Driven Development) principles.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues, performing root cause analysis and implementing effective solutions.
- Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry trends, and best practices in the EdTech and software engineering domains, sharing knowledge and insights with the team.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- 3-6 years of professional experience in software engineering, with a focus on Java development.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, Cassandra, Oracle, ActiveMQ, and Apache.
- Experience building and consuming APIs.
- Familiarity with TDD principles and Agile methodologies.
- Working knowledge of AWS (Amazon Web Services) and microservices architecture.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to articulate technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
